Process

Submission:
Upon receiving your award form or e-mail you will be notified within 3 days that it has arrived. At that time you will be assigned an award ID and address to check the progress. If you have not heard from me after that time you can assume I did not get it and please send it again. In the event the form does not work for you an alternate e-mail contact is on the application page. The total time to check your entire site should not take longer than 2 weeks.

Evaluation:
While I am checking your site I will notify you if I find anything that is not within the criteria and will allow you to make the needed changes. It is important that you read the entire criteria and disqualifiers before submitting your site for evaluation. If your site does not meet the required qualifications a notification will be sent as to why.

I will make a short preliminary first visit within a few days of your application to see that if meets the basic criteria. On my second visit I will return and do a more thorough evaluation and at that time determine if your site is within the criteria listed. You may apply again when your site does comply.

If for some reason you do not win an award it may be that too much of the criteria was not met and I will give the best description as to why it did not pass. If you want to correct those areas please feel free to apply after changes have been made. I will evaluate it again as I want to allow the applicant to have a chance to win an award. Sites are checked with Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera, and Safari to get the total "feel" for the site.

Awarding:
If your site passed the criteria, winners will be notified and will be sent the award applied for. It will be an attachment to the e-mail address on the award application with a confirmation that they have won. This will all be within the 2 week time period.

Notice:
Award winners must notify me if any changes have been made to their site, such as changing to a new content format or any reason that the site no longer matches the original criteria.
