| She was 15 at the time of the battle, and had lived her entire life in Gettysburg.Her father was a butcher, and the family lived at the corner of South Baltimore and Breckinridge Streets. She had two brothers James and William and one sister Margaret. She wrote an account of her experiences during the battle. "At Gettysburg, Or What A Girl Saw And Heard Of The Battle" is still in print today. |
