The Abraham Trostle farm served as the location for General Daniel Sickles' Union headquarters. This farm was evacuated quickly when word of the battle came, and the Trostle family fled. The farm offered refuge to the Union 9th Massachusetts Battery who were in retreat. Note: If you look below the two diamond shape designs there is a hole made by a cannonball during the battle.
