| Ramadan is an Islamic holy day. During the month of Ramadan, faithful Muslims are required to not eat and drink any time other than before sunrise and after sunset. The ritual is observed by all except those not physically able to fast. The holy day of Ramadan occurs a different day each year and is marked by the motions of the moon. After the month of fasting, a huge dinner with many ethnic dishes is prepared by Muslim families as they feast with their loved ones and return to a normal cycle. |
