| Celebration of the Vernal (spring) Equinox dates back to ancient times and was especially observed by the Druids of Great Britain. One of the names for their spring celebrations was Imbolc. Spring symbolized new life, new crops, and new beginnings for the Celtic people, as they came out of the darkness of winter. In some religious traditions today, Vernal Equinox is still considered important. |
