Pennsylvania "Penn's Woods" received its name in honor of Admiral Penn, William Penn's father, in a land charter from King
Charles II in 1681. The area was home to the Delaware (also known as Lenni Lenape), Susquehannock, Iroquois, Erie, Shawnee, and
other Native American tribes. Pennsylvania also shares a water border with Canada. Beautiful state parks, historical sites, exquisite
scenery, and quaint towns and cities are just some of the things visitors to Pennsylvania can enjoy.
